Kimberly joined the firm in 2008. After graduating from Elon University in North Carolina, with a B.A. in Psychology, and a minor in Criminal Justice (2004), Kimberly received a Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law (2007). While at Chicago-Kent, Kimberly claimed a spot on the Dean’s List, earned a Cali Award in Legal Writing, and successfully completed the Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Certificate Program.
Kimberly found her passion for Family Law early in her law school career, while clerking in Chicago-Kent’s renowned Family Law Clinic. Kimberly also served as a law clerk to one of Cook County’s Domestic Relations Judges. During her judicial clerkship, Kimberly researched and prepared legal memoranda to assist the Judge’s rulings.
Kimberly originally joined Kamerlink, Stark, McCormack & Powers, L.L.C., as a law clerk in 2006. While clerking at KSMP, Kimberly gained extensive experience in domestic relations law under the direction of the firm’s distinguished attorneys.
Kimberly is also a certified mediator, and has mediated various cases within the Cook County Court System. The skills Kimberly gained through her mediation training and experience assists her in negotiating favorable settlements for her clients.
The skills and experiences Kimberly has gained enable her to be an effective advocate for KSMP’s clients.
